Anthony was called to the NSW Bar in 1996 and was appointed as Senior Counsel in 2011.

He specialises in ADR, banking, contract, commercial, corporations, insolvency, insurance, professional indemnity, property, and sports law.

Although a general commercial Silk, he has been recognised by Doyles Guide to the Australian Legal Profession in 2011 and 2015-2020 as a leading Australian Insolvency and Restructuring Silk.

Anthony is an exponent of all forms of ADR and especially mediation, arbitration and expert determination.

​

Anthony is a highly regarded mediator with a particular expertise in the resolution of complex multi-party disputes. He is a Nationally Accredited (NMAS) and Advanced Mediator (Resolution Institute) and a Fellow of Resolution Institute and of ACICA. He is also internationally accredited as a mediator by the International Mediation Institute, the Singapore International Mediation Institute and the Mediator Accrediting Council of Papua New Guinea.

He has been ranked by Doyles Guide to the Australian Legal Profession in 2018 – 2021 as a leading mediator and is experienced in conducting virtual or online mediations across various platforms including Zoom.

Anthony was ranked by Doyles Guide in 2019 and 2020 as one of the country's leading arbitration Silks. 

He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (UK) and registered in the Australian Register of Practising Arbitrators as a Grade 1 Arbitrator. He is also registered as an arbitrator in Papua New Guinea and by the Dubai International Financial Centre. He is a member of many of the world’s leading arbitral institutions including SIAC, DIAC, DIFC-LCIA, AIAC, ACICA. QICCA and THAC.

He is regularly appointed as an arbitrator both domestically and internationally.

Anthony is also a leading sports lawyer. He is a Mediator and Arbitrator of the Court of Arbitration for Sport (both in the general and football lists), on the International Panel of Sport Resolutions (UK), a member of the National Sports Tribunal, the Acting Racing Appeals Tribunal (NSW), a member of the Football Australia (FA) Appeals Committee, Deputy Chair of the FA Disciplinary and Ethics Committee, a member of the FA Dispute Resolution Chamber, Chair of the Appeals Tribunal of Football NSW, a member of the AFL NSW/ACT Appeals Board and Judiciary Counsel for the National Rugby League.

Anthony is registered by Resolution Institute as an expert determiner.
