Profile
Jordan is a commercial barrister who regularly appears in all Victorian and Federal courts in general commercial disputes. Through his membership at Lonsdale Chambers, Jordan's practice has developed a focus on corporations law, corporate insolvency and bankruptcy law. 

Since coming to the bar Jordan’s trial experience has included: 

  • Page v Receivers of Shyzi Pty Ltd and Ors VID659/2020 (led by Michael Galvin QC, pending dispute regarding appointment of receivers and managers, in Federal Court of Australia);

  • IMO MIPA Australia Pty Ltd S ECI 2020 04299 (unled, liquidator of insolvent trustee company seeking powers under the Trustee Act 1958 and associated directions, in Supreme Court of Victoria);

  • Aulsebrook v ANT Projects Pty Ltd [2020] FCCA 2211 (unled, judicial review of decision to grant sequestration orders, in Federal Circuit Court of Australia)

Immediately before coming to the bar Jordan was Senior Associate to the Honourable Justice Sifris of the Supreme Court of Victoria, where he assisted in the management of the Corporations List of the Commercial Court. In this role Jordan worked on a broad range of commercial disputes, including trials involving breach of director's dutiesshareholder oppressionderivative actionvoidable transactionsbreach of trust and fiduciary dutycontracts of guaranteereal property disputes, and the provision of judicial advice to liquidators.

Jordan also maintains a regulatory law practice, having successfully defended company directors subject to ASIC disciplinary proceedings.

Jordan read with Peter Fary SC. His senior mentor is Jonathan Evans QC.
